Les Miserables on Stage at BHS
June 16-18, 7:00pm
In 19th-century France, Jean Valjean is on parole after having been imprisoned for 19 years after stealing a loaf of bread. Following an unexpected act of kindness by the Bishop Myriel, Valjean breaks his parole and resolves to become an honest man. But police inspector Javert, believing justice must be served, relentlessly pursues Valjean throughout France, making it impossible to leave his past behind. Along the way, we meet the desperate Fantine, whose child Cosette is taken in by Valjean, the comically conniving Thenardiers, the revolutionaries Enjorlas and Marius, and the lovelorn Eponine. A powerful, passionate, and fast-paced adaptation of Victor Hugo's epic novel of love and justice.
Important Update: The Monday, June 15 performance of Les Miserable has been cancelled.
Due to Saturday’s significant power outage, critical technical rehearsal time was lost, preventing our team from completing the lighting and sound elements needed to present the show at the level our students deserve. This additional time will also allow facility staff to continue addressing the ongoing HVAC challenges in the theatre.
While we are disappointed to cancel Monday’s performance, our dedicated performers are excited to share their hard work with audiences during the remaining performances this week. Ticket holders for Monday’s show will be contacted regarding moving their tickets to another performance date.
Thank you for your understanding and for supporting these talented students.
