WHAT TO BRING:

LUGGAGE-  Southwest airlines allows two free bags up to 50 lbs each, plus a personal carry on.

  • Staying in University of Indiana Dorms - (Twin size) sheets, Blanket, Pillow 

  • Small fan - dorm rooms are warm

  • Bath Towel(s)

  • Shower/Toiletries - (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste), shower caddy, shower shoes/flipflops

  • Personal care appliances (hair dryer, iron, etc.)

  • Basic first aid items (bandages, anti-biotic ointment, etc.) Sunscreen, Bug spray

  • Attire - Personal Attire should be in school dress code. No exceptions.  We will have a CFISD/campus Administration with us, and I do not want an issue with clothing choices.  It will be hot outside but cool in the theatre spaces.  Please layer and plan accordingly.Damn Yankees Show Shirt for Wednesday (after Tuesday's performance).

    • Competition Attire Thespian Blacks = Professional - totally black, from head-to-toe!  No decals, designs, or patterns on clothes or shoes.

      • Black socks, shoesshirt/blouseslacks (preferred over black jeans. No holes)dress/skirt modest length (knee). No midriff showing. If wearing a skirt or dress, please plan to wear tights/hose (preferably black)

    • Comfortable Workshop Attire (dance attire, acting attire, cool summer clothes, comfortable walking shoes)

    • Damn Yankees Performance Attire/Gear - Tights, Leotards/Undergarments, Socks, Character shoes, Makeup, lashes, etc.

    • Damn Yankees Show shirt to wear Wednesday after Tuesday's Performance.

    • Semi-Formal Attire for The Thespy Awards

  • Pack non perishable snacks for your dorm room. There are no microwaves or fridges in the dorm rooms. Meals on travel days are the student's responsibility (Sunday and Saturday)

  • Music/materials for your Thespy IE competition.

  • Phone/device chargers/headphones

  • Umbrella/rain poncho

  • Reusable water bottle /hydration packets 

  • Technology chargers

  • Backpack/tote/messenger bag

  • Notebook and writing utensils

  • Sweater/jacket (for cold indoor spaces)

MEDICATION: - please have ALL medications, including sleeping melatonin, Tylenol, Aleeve, Midol, etc. in ORIGINAL BOTTLES.

  • Please have instructions on dosages and times needed written on a piece of paper inside the bag.

  • Please label the zip-lock bag with the student's first and last name.

  • Do not send full bottles of medication or loose pills. Only pack enough needed for the duration of the trip.

  • Group 1s medication will be collected at the airport prior to departure.
    Group 2s medication will be collected upon arrival in Bloomington.

  • Please be sure to let Mr. Delka know in writing if you have any "self-carry" items like an inhaler or epi-pen, etc.

SPENDING $ - 

  • We will have full cafeteria services while on campus, but all food/travel expenses/souvenirs/etc. while not on campus will be on your own.

  • I do not have a solid recommendation on how much to bring, as it varies from person to person.  My best guess is about $25 per day. Indiana University Campus is cashless.
