Thespians and Drama Club

THESPIANS

The International Thespian Society awards points for time and accomplishments, much in the same way that Scouts does. This teaches students the importance of commitment, leadership, and ownership in their own endeavors in theatre, as well as reinforcing their responsibility to the troupe.

Ursa Major Theatrics established an ITS troupe (#8503) during Bridgeland High School's first year (2017-18) and inducted many students at our first end-of-year banquet in May 2018.

DRAMA CLUB

Drama Club is a stand-alone organization that is separate from Ursa Major Theatrics' productions and Thespians. The club is here for any student with an interest in Theatre to partake in, but does not require the commitment. However, members of the Thespian Society are largely required to be in attendance.

Drama Club is essentially student-ran, with a student-elected board, and is tasked with planning the activities and calendar of the organization. Mr. Kelley functions as a facilitator between their ambitions and the necessary logistics of planning.
